About
I am a visual artist based in the Twin Cities, working at the intersection of art and science to inspire change through cultural exchange. My interdisciplinary practice spans drawing, printmaking, performance, and community engagement, all grounded in an ongoing curiosity about the natural world and how we move through it.
Throughout my career, I’ve employed a variety of methods to explore these ideas. I have led walking/drawing tours, exhibited two-dimensional drawings and prints, written and crafted artist zines, and created and performed in puppet shows. My works on paper often incorporate collage and imagery from nature, while my performative pieces integrate simple chemistry experiments and science-based demonstrations.
My practice explores themes of environment, time, and subjectivity through portraiture, mapping, urban roaming, and horticulture. I am also a dedicated community gardener, serving as a member of the St. Anthony Park Community Gardens and as a UMN Extension Master Gardener.
I hold an MFA in Printmaking from the Edinburgh College of Art (2011) and a BFA in Expanded Media from the University of Kansas (2008). My work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
